FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

See below for some of the questions we are often asked, and their answers.

1. What happens if the weather is bad during your pour?

Unfortunately, Louisiana often has unpredictable weather. We highly suggest checking your local weather stations and/or use apps to monitor the weather. Normally your concrete will be fine if the finishers stay with the concrete until it sets properly. We do not guarantee the performance of third-party contractors.

2. How many yards will your pour require?

To get an estimate on the amount of yardage you will need, assuming you/your contractors’ measurements are correct, please use our concrete calculator found here.

3. Do we form up and finish the concrete?

Regrettably we do not form or finish the concrete. We just deliver ready-mix. However, we can suggest a qualified concrete finisher who specializes in your area. We do not guarantee the performance of third-party finishers.

4. Where do we deliver to?

You can view a map of our locations here showing the radius in which we deliver to.  Typically, it is a 15-mile radius of each plant location. There are exceptions for further pours; these require an additional product to be added to your mix to allow for a longer travel time.

5. How do you set up an account with us?

You may get a PDF credit application from our website. Send this PDF to amber@qcemail.com. You may also come into our Prairieville location and ask for someone in the account receivables department.

6. What type of mix will you need?

Depending on the project and/or weather conditions your mix will vary. Call and describe your project to one of our salesmen and they can help you determine which mix is required. A standard mix is 3000 psi- this is used for most (not all) residential driveways and sidewalks.

7. How much time in advance do we require to schedule a delivery?

We typically ask that our customers order the concrete 2-3 days in advance. We do accommodate for some “last minute” pours but cannot guarantee this on busy days.
